Hello. My name is Mr. Graham. I teach Algebra 2, Geometry, and Personal Finance at Roxborough High School. You are receiving this automated message because a failing grade was entered for your student in one of my math classes for the first quarter, Fall 2024.
Low academic performance could have several causes. The most common causes include:
- missing a recent quiz or test,
- poor performance on a recent quiz or test, and
- chronic tardiness or absenteeism resulting in regularly missed assignments.
All students throughout the School District of Philadelphia receive minimum grades of 50 on their report cards. Students whose grade fell between 50 and 59 this quarter received a failing grade. In the worst case scenario, your student will need to achieve an average grade of 63.4 over the next three marking periods in order to pass their math class for the year.
Due to time constraints, I can not reach out individually to parents and guardians of all failing students. For specific details about your student’s academic performance please, I invite you to attend parent-teacher conferences at Roxborough High School this Friday, November 15, 2024. Conferences will be held in person from 7:30am to 10:00am, again in person from 12:30pm to 1:45pm, and over Zoom from 10:00am to 12:00pm. See the flyer for more information.

I also invite you to log into the parent portal. Visit the following address to create a parent portal account through the PhilaSD.org web site:

PLEASE ACKNOWLEDGE receipt of this message by either emailing or texting me at one of the contacts below. Please do not respond directly to the message you received, as it was an automated message sent from an unmonitored account.
